Eating up the East Coast.

Juliette et Chocolat, Montreal.

Apologies for not staying in touch…. Actually, scratch that, I’m having a whale of a time!

Spending some time on the East Coast of Canada and the States with my husband and rambunctious toddler and enjoying stuffing my face full of East Coast delights. First stop was Montreal where we munched through Schwartz’s smoked meat and mustard sandwiches, Jean-Talon fresh food market, buttery chocolatines and curiously delicious poutine. The photograph, above, is a praline terrine from Juliette et Chocolat, a French style chocolate shop and cafe that would turn Grace (from The Colour of Tea) green with envy. I spent two hours there, alone, save for a manuscript and a jug of thick, hot chocolate. ‘Grandma style’ they called it. Heaven. Now we are in Boston and we’ve already enjoyed hot lobster rolls, creamy chowder poured into crusty french bread, and fried clams. Thank goodness for elasticated waistbands.

Already looking forward to the next food adventure, photos will follow, stay tuned…

Oh, it all sounds so DELICIOUS! Even the stuff I wouldn’t eat….
You’re living the ultimate food-tourism dream. Onward with the stretchy waistbands!
