Jessi Arrington makes me smile.
She packs her suitcase for a trip. The suitcase is pretty small. That’s because “smalls” are all that’s in it. That’s right. Just underwear (I was reassured to note that she is not a silk and lace g-string kinda gal). She bought every stitch of clothing she wore for the trip from a thrift store. And? She looked good.
Well, she looked like Jessi Arrington and she looked happy about it. I’m not sure I am bold enough for some of the outfits, but they are inspiring nonetheless. Mainly because of the confidence and joy she exudes as she wears them. They are uplifting and sunny. Like having a cupcake for breakfast. They gave life to an old thing. They didn’t cost her a fortune. This case shakes up the old proverb. Less is more? Yes; (spending) less has given her more (happiness / joy / purpose). But more (colour) is also more (happiness / joy / purpose)! This gal is refreshing, you really should watch her brief Ted.com talk posted above. It is less than six minutes long, so I know you can squeeze it into your day.
Jessi Arrington is such a great example of a person with a effervescent passion. She is charming because her enthusiasm is contagious. She doesn’t have a job that pays the bills but drains her sense of self. She is wholly, joyfully, completely herself. Inside and out.
P.S. Jessi, if you are travelling to Sydney I’d thrown in an umbrella with the underpants. It’s raining cats and dogs here.
